Himly Ltd was founded in 2023 by two experienced consultants with a great reputation for the quality of their work in environmental noise, acoustics, air quality, sustainability and climate change.
Josep Simona and Xavier Sanchez-Roemmele met at Capita Property and Infrastructure and their professional journey took them to GL Hearn and WSP as a result of company acquisitions. From 2017 to 2023 they worked together on many complex projects, having a particularly relevant roles on HS2 Phase 2b, the Brent Cross Cricklewood regeneration scheme (which included stabling sidings, a rail freight facility, waste transfer station and a new train station) and many infrastructure and built environment projects across the UK.
We invest in research. Our employees are allowed to allocate a relevant percentage of their time at work to write technical papers, prepare thought pieces and carry out technical research in their fields of expertise. We believe that research benefits our clients, communities, professional bodies and our own technical knowledge.
“Bettering places” is our motto. It encapsulates our objective as a business and as technically minded professionals who promote sustainable development. We strive to optimise what can be achieved to improve environmental outcomes within our clients’ financial constraints – balancing the initial capital expenditure with the long term financial and environmental benefits of the scheme.
